Pre-Clinical Ultrasound Imaging Facility
The Visualsonics Vevo 3100 is a state-of-the-art ultra-high frequency micro-ultrasound imaging system with an intuitive touchscreen interface. It is equipped with a range of MX linear transducers optimized for small animal imaging in cardiovascular, oncological, abdominal, and embryological applications.
- MX250: 24 MHz MicroScan transducer: 75 micron resolution. Contrast microbubble perfusion.
- MX400: 38 MHz MicroScan transducer: 50 micron resolution. Cardiovascular assessment.
- MX550D: 55 MHz MicroScan transducer: 40 micron resolution. Abdominal/Tumor Work.
The Vevo 3100 is capable of resolution down to 30 microns and has built in functionality for color and power Doppler imaging. Image analysis applications are also available including left ventricular analysis and contrast based quantification. The Vevo 3100 is coupled with an innovative and comprehensive imaging station that provides ECG, heart rate, core temperature, and respiratory monitoring.
The monitoring system can also be used for physiologically triggered gated ultrasound imaging. The imaging station uses with a motorized transducer mount for precision and hands-free scanning as well as 3D- and cardiac-4D ultrasound imaging. Additionally, the imaging station is equipped with a micro-injector for precision ultrasound-guided injections and extractions.
